What a complete estimate should include
Look for labor, materials, taxes, travel or trip fees, and any allowances. Vague single-line totals make change orders harder to evaluate later.
- Scope description in clear language
- Payment milestones (for example 30/40/30)
- Warranty or workmanship notes
- Exclusions and assumptions
Approve only when the scope matches the visit
If the pro visited and noted something different than the written estimate, ask for a revision before signing. Digital approval locks the agreed scope into your job file.
